SMocKing on the Roof

 One of the most fun SMocK parties was over the summer, on the hottest day in mid July!  The inspiration was the Chicago skyline and the goal was to paint on the rooftop.  Well, we did a little bit of both.  SMocKers sketched the wonderful view from the roof and then sat in  a nice air conditioned space to paint.  The evening was full of food, fun and fabulously unique paintings.

As the summer rolled to an end, we squeezed in one last SMocK for a wonderful friend turning 29, again.  With belinis, sangria and a whole lot of heart, we celebrate with some SMocKing.

Uno Chartert School Surprise SMocK 6.17.12

I'm going to backtrack a little bit and share the SMocK events that have happened throughout the past....3 months.  First, is UNO Charter School SMocK!  As some of you may remember, I did a little fundraising to provide a class of third grade students a little bit of art for a day.  On June 17th....we begin our summer SMocKing.

 

A very busy summer for SMocKing!

I should start by apologizing for not keeping up with all the wonderful SMocKing that happened throughout the summer months.  From rooftop to a beach, to a garden to rockin' out....it was a summer of SMocK.  I am going to do my best in an effort to keep all my SMocKers up to date with the latest of parties and painting mixing....

Yesterday we celebrated a 7th birthday with a rock star theme!  Young SMockers envisioned themselves as hard rockers, displaying their air guitar skills and all.  In the end, they did an amazing job, painting their very unique guitars.  BRAVO, my lovely little ladies.  xoxo, SMocK you.

Yeah!  Thanks to a very successful SMocK Party this Thursday, funds are increasing for UNO Charter School!!!  On May 10, Grace Ford hosted a SMocK Party in which proceed will go to buying supplies and materials for the 32 young students at UNO for JUNE 15.  Their teacher, their principal and I are extremely excited to give these kids something so simple and something so fun.  Help us!!! DONATE 5 dollars :)  That's it. 

Hello SMocKers!

I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for the SMocKers who have donated already!  This is a really exciting time.  We are slowly inching our way towards surprising 32 young eager students at UNO Charter School.

 A few weeks ago, I brought a group of my students to UNO in partnership and sponsorship with Do Your P'Art Foundation to create sidewalk chalk drawings.  They were amazing, but more so the students were completely thrilled.  By the end of the day, 60 third grade students were covered in chalk dust, with smiles from ear to ear. 

 

 Now imagine yourself as one of these students....how great would it be to have ONE day, just one day....of painting.
